The CDC has estimated that 1 in 59 children are diagnosed with Autism. This diagnosis is prevalent across all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups. At Spectrum, we specialize in providing individual, group therapy, and consultation services for children, teens, and young adults on the Autism Spectrum.
Spectrum also provides therapeutic services for children, adults, and families presenting with a diverse range of emotional, medical, and neuro-psychological difficulties. Common issues such as poor academic performance, depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral problems, grief, school refusal, and divorce are among the many treatment issues that Spectrum treats.
Spectrum provides social skills for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Currently, Spectrum offers a weekly social group for teenagers on the Autism Spectrum. Members learn various complex social skills that they need to be successful teenagers and often practice these skills in the community during group outings. This group serves teens ages 13-15 years old.
Raising a child in today's society can be quite challenging. Furthermore, raising a child with emotional or behavioral difficulties can be even more perplexing. This is where parent coaching comes in. Parent Coaching is a collaborative, process that supports parents in developing and implementing various strategies and interventions to promote positive change in their family.
Navigating your child's educational process can be quite stressful. Parents are often left to work within the confines of their school district while wondering if their child's needs are being met. At Spectrum, we collaborate with teachers and parents by attending IEP meetings and providing consultation regarding the most appropriate academic environment and IEP goals for their child. In addition, we also help parents create 504 recommendations for their child.
